I didn’t want to write another love song about butterflies and first kisses.
I wanted to write one for the couples who’ve been through it, who gave up pieces of their individual dreams to build a shared one called family.
“Look at You” is for the two people who stuck it out when walking away would’ve been easier.
Who weathered the tension, the bills, the long nights with sick babies, and the quiet seasons where love didn’t feel like a feeling, but a choice.
It’s a slow dance for the tried and true.
The ones who held hands through fire, and somehow, after all these years, still look across the room and say, “I’d do it again.”
